IMOS® is the next generation software platform for the shipping and short sea markets.
Based on a SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) approach and using open standards as JAVA EE and XML – SOAP, IMOS® offers a unique platform designed to satisfy business and integration needs of all operators involved in maritime operations.

IMOS® kernel provides a common middleware platform for delivering innovative solutions for Ferry, Cruise and RoRo operators as well as for Port Authorities, Cargo and Terminal Management Companies.

E-Dea offers several highly targeted solutions, related to the IMOS® platform, for supporting maritime organizations in handling specific business challenges.

Each targeted solution can be either deployed as a standalone application or as a module of the IMOS® platform family, sharing data, services, communication and integration protocols with already deployed IMOS® solutions.

The cutting-edge IMOS® Service Bus - based on Java Enterprise Service Bus standards and EJB 3.0 technology – supplies advanced distributed enterprise services for data synchronization and persistency, intelligent routing, and mediation through all solutions part of the IMOS® platform, simplifying complex and costly messaging infrastructures.

Thanks to its innovative technology and architecture, IMOS® automates, manages and optimizes business processes and workflows across systems, people and partners involved in maritime operations, also providing real-time monitoring, alerting tools and customized management reporting functionalities.

IMOS® kernel shares a common integration layer across all deployed solutions, providing the foundation for a single point of integration to external legacy and packaged applications without code duplications and adapters development.

In addition to NMEA, XML, SOAP and TTI standard formats, IMOS® platform offers its own IMOS-XML standard messages that provide advanced communication capabilities of all data produced or collected by IMOS® platform modules to all partners involved in the maritime industry supply chain.

The IMOS-XML messages, based on XML and SOAP technology, comprise data of the core processes of all maritime operations like, among the others, scheduling, booking, check-in, security and invoicing.
